I thought I wasn't doing Nano, but.....

Yeah, I knew I wouldn't be able to stay away. Even though I know I won't win this year, I want to work on this tale set in the 1950s/1960s.

Flora Monaghan is on her first professional singing job at Glasslake opera company. She has many obstacles to overcome: her ungainly height and weight, Shyness, her Domineering mother and a secret tragedy which she tries to hide from the world. The one thing she has going for her is an extraordinary soprano voice and a dream of a better life where she will be loved and accepted for herself.

Rosanna Cerquetti is a diva of red hot tempestuous talent. Young and gorgeous but extremely unstable, she is temperamental and insecure. To those on the end of her tantrums she is quickly turning into a prima donna of the worst type but underneath is a very unhappy lonely woman, who is crying out for help before it's too late.

When Glasslake Opera company starts their new 1957 season the two singers are set on a collision course as Igor Gologshavin the world famous head of Artemis Records offers a fabulous recording deal to one lucky diva. This deal will make whoever gains it a megastar but only one Multi-Million contract is on the table.

Can Rosanna beat her demons and soar to the next level of stardom? Or will Flora against the odds become a star and cause the upset of the season?

I have also come up with a cast list and I'm working on the outline as we speak.

Rosanna Cerquetti - Sharon den Adel

Flora Monaghan - Kate Winslet

Tom Prebryn Mawr - Stark Sands

Sergei Bolshevijian- Eric Bana

Robert Pemberley - Armie Hammer

Eveline Jones- Katherine Jenkins

Edwin Templeton- Alan Rickman

Pierre Delorme- Mads Mikkelsen

I seriously think I'm an addict. i told myself I wasn't going to write for a month to give myself a break. I lasted three days. And I have 'The Poignard', 'Shades of Loyalty and 'In too Deep' to finish.
EDIT: There is now a cast list picspam!I'm hopeless, aren't I?
